News Briefs In error the names of Debbie Belohovek and Jerri Eurich were omitted from the program. They failed to receive recognition for their 4.0 GPA and placement on the President's Honor Roll. Honor Roll: Any student who makes the Dean's Honor Roll (3.6 GAP) for one semester will receive a bronze pin; and any student making the President's Honor Roll (4.0 GPA) for one semester will receive a silver pin. A student who accumulates 4 bronze pins, or 2 silver pins, or 2 bronze and 1 silver may exchange them for a gold pin. These pins may be picked up in the Dean of Student Affairs Office. Attention Seniors: Applications for Degree for June and August 1972 graduation are now due in the Registrar's Office. There will be a formal concert this Saturday, March 4, featuring violinist Dr. Alfred Walters and pianist Lily Pan- Diehl. Works by Brahms, Clementi, Debussy, Prokofieff, Wieniawski, Veracini, and Kriesler will be featured. It will be held in Gentry Gymnasium on the Loma Linda University campus. Admission price to the 8 p.m. concert is $2 for adults and $1 for students presenting I.D. cards. Children under 12 will be admitted free. Trouveres Treat Student Body to Brahms' Music The Music Department of California Baptist College treated a campus audience to an evening of fine Brahms music presented by Trouveres,underthedirection of Dr. Curtis L. Cheek, assisted by Mrs. Lily Pan Diehl and Miss Donna Forrest at the piano. The program, was presented Tuesday, in the College Chapel. It consisted of the "Love Song" Waltzes for voices and two pianos and a piano solo by Donna Forrest. ,..^:U/3iiilsfftBB "THE BREATH OF NEW LIFE" BEGINS MONDAY Evangelist, Musicians Highlight Week-Long Campus Revival Billy Hanks Jr., CynthiaClaw- son and Dr. Philip Landgrave will conduct the campus revival services, "The Breath of New Life" which will begin Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. The services Will be held every morning at 10:00 and every night at 7:30 at Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church. Musical groups such as "Today," and "The Sonshine Package" will bring special music. The final services will be Saturday night at the Arlington Foursquare Church at 7:30 p.m. This will be a large interdenominational rally with the "Entourage", a musical group from the Foursquare Church bringing the special music. Another feature of the revival will be the class room visitation and the afternoon seminars. If you are interested in having a speaker in your class ask the instructor to contact Joe Cutsinger. Afternoon seminars will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will convene on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. The topics are How To Have A Victorious Christian Life (Tues.), Responsibilities Of A Victorious Christian In Today's World (Wed.), and Victory In The Will Of God (Thurs.). Trees Transplanted For Beautification New trees have been planted by Smith Hall and the Field House. The trees were given to C.B.C. by the Wishing Well Nursery five years ago. They were planted behind the maintenance buildings at that time. Billy Hanks Billy Hanks, the evangelist, is 28 and is married with one daughter. He graduated from Baylor University and Southwestern Seminary. He has worthed with the Grady Wilson and Billy Graham Crusades. He also has written Christian folk music and anthems including "Lonely Voices." Cynthia Clawson Cynthia Clawson is a graduate of Howard Payne College. She appeared on the "New Comers" TV show and has made manv commercials and was a guest on the Lawrence WelkShow. She has made an album called "One In The Spirit." She is coming to sing special music for the revival. Dr. Philip Landgrave Dr. Phillip Landgrave, the music director is currently music director at Magnolia AvenueBap- tist Church. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and Southern Baptist fneotogica/ Seminary and is doing post-doctorate work at USC. His most widely known work is the folk musical "Pur pose." The hard-working group have presented programs in numerous churches. From left, they are Mark Craig, Marvin Tapsfield, Jim Griffiths, Mervin Tapsfield, and Keith Mc- Clellan. They are under the direction of Dr. William Tapsfield. "Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye! California Baptist College proudly presents Honors Day!" It was really an exciting day for many students. Some ofthese students were awarded several honors and there is no doubt that these brilliant, hardworking, and ambitious troopers deserve them. The day of Honor began with the Gerard Faber's rendition of "Andantino" on the organ at Magnolia Baptist Church. The invocation was presented by Dr. Samuel M. Ortegon, and the address was given by Dr. George Mussachio. At long last, Dean Stephen Carleton gave the presentation of awards. These awards to the different students in subject fields are as follows: Art Award-Steve Jones; Biology Award-Don Easter; Business Adm.
