Queen To Be Crowned This Saturday CBC Homecoming Slated By ZELLA WHORTON Babies, mums, and pretty girls are only a few of the sights you'll see at "Homecoming'73". With the theme "Great Expectations", it is definite we will have the best Homecoming ever. The alumni will start out the day, Feb. 10, by registering at 8:30 a.m. Then at 9 a.m. they will have a continental breakfast in the cafeteria. Our Homecoming Queen, nominees who are Melinda Arnold- business club, Diane. Cardoza- senior class, Nobuko Lindsey- AlphaChi, Marsha Noe-CircIeK, Karen Smart-junior class, Ann Williams - BSU, and Yuan Par Young - Internationals, will be recognized along with alumni- of-the-year presentations in the gym. That afternoon the "Freepeo- ple" will have a concert starting at 3 p.m. in the gym. Other events during the day will include campus visitation, remember to clean your rooms; barbecue luncheon, bring out the paper and plastic; class reunions, press your hanky; and volleyball to get in shape for the pie-eating contest. There will also be a baby pa- ' rade starring the alumni offspring. Composed of a laugh contest, the parade, diaper derby, and smile contest, the winners will receive. $25 certificates redeemable upon entrance at CBC upon arrival as a freshman. "Evening entertainment will feature the annual. Alumni-J.V. basketball game, crowning of Homecoming Queen, and Lancer Varsity basketball." Seniors are invited to attend all activities ofthe day. ". ■"-,.■■■ Melinda Arnold, nominated by the business club, is from Hemet. She has been active in the business club and has worked as Simmon's Hall mail clerk. Diane Cardoza, nominated by the senior class, is from Manteca. She was freshman class favorite, has served as an RA and is co-editor ofthe Angelos. Nobuko Lindsey from Fairfield was nominated by Alpha Chi. She has been a varsity cheerleader, on the Dean's honor roll, ASB secretary and a member of the Judicial Board of Simmons Hall. Karen Smart, nominated by the junior class, is from Eagle Mountain. She has been a junior varsity and varsity cheerleader. She received a Master Key Award and is currently serving as junior class secretary-treasurer. Ann Williams from Hemet was nominated by BSU. She has been a member of Reader's Theater, Drama Trio, junior class senator, and is serving as ASB first vice-president, and as an RA in Simmons Hall. Yuan Par Young.from Bangkok, Thailand was nominated by the internationals. She has been a member of Krettes and the business club.
