Who's Who Winners Announced Fourteen CBC Seniors Chosen for National Honor List Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges has selected fourteen Cal Baptist seniors for their 1972- 73 edition. This is a nation-wide selection of eminent college students. Nominations are made on the basis of scholarship, leadership qualities, and potential future success. These students were honored yesterday at the awards chapel. PAM ALEXANDER Pam Alexander has been sophomore class favorite, lady-in- waiting for the Yule Festival, Homecoming Queen, and dorm president. She is a member of concert choir and received the Master Key Award last year. LAURA BANTA Laura Banta has been involved with girl's volleyball, Alphi Chi, Hermanos en Cristo, and served as the BSU social chairman in 1972. She has been on the president's and dean's honor rolls and received the modern foreign language award last year. No edition next week CAROL BUTLER Carol Butler attended Taft Community College before coming to CBC. While at Taft she received the Taft College Memorial Scholarship. She is a member of Les Chantueses. CHARLES ENGLEMANN Charles Engleman attended College of San Mateo and San Francisco State before coming to CBC. He is pastor atOliveStreet Baptist Church in Colton and is serving as president of Ministerial Alliance this year. WALTER GRUBB Walter Grubb has been sophomore class president, ASB 1st vice president and is currently serving as ASB president. He has been Banner editor, and played varsity basketball. MARVIN TAPSFIELD Marvin Tapsfield has been a member of Brass ensemble and the varsity soccer team. He has been on the president's and dean's honor rolls and is a member of Alphi Chi. He was placed on the all-conference soccer team in 1971. MARK CRAIG Mark Craig is a member of the dorm council, an RA and a member ofthe Brass Ensemble. RICHARD FLOOD Richard Flood has been an RA and a member of Circle K. He served as off-campus director for BSU and is currently serving as CBC's BSU president and as the state BSU vice-president. KEITH McLELLAN Keith McLellan has served as junior and senior class president and received a Master Key award last year. He is a member of Brass Ensemble and has been on scholarship from the Public Relations department. He also served as an RA and as choir president. I MERVIN TAPSFIELD Mervin Tapsfield is a member of Alphi Chi and of the Brass Ensemble. He has been on the president's and Dean's honor rolls. He has also received the most valuable player award and the most inspirational award in soccer. CHERYL DURHAM Cheryl Durham has been involved with. Alphi Chi, music guild, and concert choir. She served as secretary for the BSU in 71-72 and as secretary for the young Democrats in 1972. LINDA GALLAGHER Linda Gallagher has been an RA and involved in music guild, Alphi Chi, and Trouveres. CBC to Break Ground For Building Ground-breaking ceremonies for the D. E. Wallace Building of the Book of Life Complex at California Baptist College will be held Ian. 19, 10 a.m., on the Riverside campus. Trustees, students, administration, faculty, staff, and dignitaries from throughout the state will be on hand for ceremonies initiating construction of the $350,000 building. Named in memory of the late Dr. D. Eugene Wallace, professor of Bible at Cal Baptist, the two-story building will feature a Christian museum, exhibits, and showcase areas and provide facilities for Music and Theatre Arts Departments. Funds for the Wallace Building were contributed by Dr. Wallace's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Wallace, and other friends ofthe college. The Book of Life Complex has been the focal point of future construction plans at California Baptist College for several years.
