According to Mr. Tom Lee, club sponsor, "With the opening of the Art Gallery, the scheduled exhibits, the Fine Arts Festival and the formation of the Art Club, I believe that this will be the biggest year for the Art Department and CBC. It is my desire that the Art Department will make a valuable contribution to the 'Campus of Christian Culture' and help create more of a dialogue Connie Murphy and Bob McBride examine some of the art work to be on exhibit October 22-November 10. The Senate consists of a representative from each of the men's dorms-Fuente, Laurel, and Lancer- and one from each floor of the Women's dorm. The Senate's purpose includes formulating a philosophy of dormitory discipline and handling the discipline problems themselves as they arise. With each new case, the Senate invites a different faculty member to act as an advisor. He may be the counselor or major professor of the student involved or someone not directly connected with him. According to Gary Collins, in the first case, considered October 9th, the Student Senate's recommendations to the administration showed a determination not to deal too leniently with any offenders but at the same time to consider the individual differences in each case and act in the best interests of all concerned. KoKua Club Initiated To Provide Service For the first time in the history of CBC, a Women's Service Organization is being formed. The new organization will be known as Kokua (Hawaiian word for "help"). An informal reception will be held in the Chapel, October 19, at 7:30 p.m. All girls who are eligible for membership have been invited. The meeting will acquaint those present with the purposes of the organization and with the various areas of service available in the community. The organization is open to all sophomore "iniof and senior women (Continued on page 3) with the Riverside community." Future plans involving the Art Club include an outdoor Christmas display in December, a German Works of Art exhibit in January, the Annual Student Art Show in March, and the Fine Arts Festival in May.
