Larry Martindale Sherry Lacoe Pat Tarbutton Janell Baggett Hick Pribbernow ASB ELECTION Campaign I have only one reason for seeking the ASB Presidency. That is because I believe in CBC. I believe in its ideals, its standards, and its value as a Christian Institution. Our college is going through some troubled times that, when finished, will, I believe, evolve into an organization geared to progress. I'm looking to our new athletic director to update our athletic program. I'm looking to our new " '*"'"""" HI ' ■ fit' ,«-»• Tir IBl **Vt,V' * - x -Jtv* tR* S ":fi|#- M " ssif'"" #4-*-4-2slL 1 v.- • • * Charla Emerson college president to update our system of administration. I'm looking to our ASB to organize into a working unit, a unit made up of The Banner; The BSU; The Clubs; The Classes and as its leader - its organizer, the hub of this wheel, the colaborator among leaders - the ASB president. Larry G. Martindale For too long now, we have heard about our great student body potential, but have not been shown how to utilize it. In order to grow as a student body, we must become actively involved in both our school and our community. This will take a strong ASB administraton, reinforced by cooperation and communication. Therefore, my "Action Design for 1970-71" has been reviewed and discussed with the school administration, and the ideas are practical. Used in conjunction with our constitution these plans would serve as a foundation to build a greater ASB. As you consider my qualifications, think about orientation, Twirp Week, the Convention, Yule Festival, Homecoming, Folk Festival, and future events — the Mr. and Mrs. Game, and Coronation 1970. Remember the Best "Looking Glass" you have into the future is to examine the past and present. We try harder! Sherry Lacoe As chief justice of the Supreme Court, vice-president of the dorm council and student secretary in the Dean of Students' office, I have become aware of some real needs in our ASB, and I see an opportunity of helping to improve several areas of campus life. I would like to be able to help make the constitution a more workable document, help carry out elections efficiently, and help improve communication with the administration through the Senate in making recommendations concerning matters like sending grades directly to the students). I am running for the office of first vice-president because of the opportunities it provides to improve these areas.
